It is the mission of the Friendly Bunch to continually improve the Amateur Radio community. We strive toward promoting the amateur radio hobby while being a family-friendly community that is welcoming, forgiving, and represents the best of both the amateur radio community and the United States as ambassadors to the world.
We accomplish this mission by having and showing respect for fellow amateur radio operators, being polite with decent conversation that is welcoming to everyone regardless of age or background, mentoring and welcoming new operators, and both engaging and acknowledging the contributions of the Elmers of our community. We succeed by celebrating the members of The Friendly Bunch, promoting goodwill among the Amateur Radio community and providing an opportunity for everyone to have a great time.
To support our mission, we meet on the air nightly, on 3.919 MHz. There, we have conversations that cover topics that are relevant to the day, answer technical questions, poll the members and guests to hear what we as a group may be able to do to improve the amateur radio experience while encouraging new operators to join the community, just to name a few.
We welcome all operators to joins us in our mission. We hope you will, too.
Sincerely,
Bobby R. Washburn (KB4ABJ)
